MTB Berm Adoption Program

I live in a very special part of the world for many reasons. The wildlife, the sea, the mountains, the fynbos, the wine, and the list goes on. But one of the biggest factors that made me move here was the love of mountain biking that runs throughout this country.

The trail network around the vines that my wines come from is called Klipspringer MTB, named after a small buck that lives amongst the rocky mountains.

Klipspringer MTB was created and is maintained by the Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy (also the conservation partner of my Fumé Blanc). 100% of the permit fees to ride these trails goes to this wonderful group.

Unfortunately since Covid19, conservation efforts in SA have taken a huge financial hit with the complete ban on international tourism and trail maintenance has come to an understandable halt.

Brutal winter rains and weeks of neglect have left our beautiful trails in an unfortunate state.

This is where we come in.

A few weeks ago I introduced the “Adopt a Berm” program. How it works is simple:

1. Buy any 2 or more cases of wine
2. Message me your favorite kind of MTB feature
3. I get shoveling for you
